About me
Mindy has worked in the field of education for 16 years. She earned her bachelors in early childhood, and a masters in teaching while working full time as a career lab paraprofessional. She and her husband have been married for 27 years, and have six children and two grandchildren. Mindy came into Family & Consumer Sciences non-traditionally, and is starting year 8 as the FACS teacher at Acorn High School. She is certified in Family & Consumer Science, Business Technology, and Career Development. She is also an FCCLA adviser and the FCCLA Region V Coordinator. In her seven years as an FCCLA adviser, she has had eight regional officers, three state officers (including the state president) and one national officer candidate. She is passionate about FCCLA, and the opportunities it provides for her students. She is currently serving on the board of Arkansas Association of Family & Consumer Science Teachers as President & as an Arkansas ACTE-FACS Chair.
