About me
Jonathan Grimes is an Agricultural Education teacher at Fort Chiswell High School with over 15 years of experience teaching agricultural mechanics, welding, woodworking, shop safety, and career and technical education. He is passionate about providing hands-on learning experiences that prepare students with practical skills, industry knowledge, and a strong emphasis on safety. Jonathan is also the co-owner of Safety First, an online shop safety curriculum designed to help teachers deliver safety instruction, assessments, and documentation for agricultural mechanics, woodworking, welding, and related shop programs. He is actively involved in agricultural education and works to help students develop leadership, technical, and career-ready skills through classroom instruction and FFA involvement.
