About me
With 34 years of service in the Little Rock School District, Xerlotta Jones has dedicated her career to preparing students for success. She spent 24 years as a Career and Technical Education (CTE) teacher at Little Rock Central High School before transitioning into her current position as the District CTE Instructional Specialist.
In her current role, Xerlotta supports all secondary CTE teachers, department chairs, academy coaches, and career coaches across the district. Her responsibilities include curriculum and instructional support, industry certifications, completers and placement, Career and Technical Student Organizations (CTSOs), resource alignment, course codes, professional development, and management of the district CTE website.
A strong advocate for community and industry partnerships, Xerlotta is passionate about creating meaningful collaborations that provide students with guaranteed real-world learning experiences and career exploration opportunities.
Outside of work, Xerlotta is the proud mother of one adult son who is a M4 medical student at UAMS. She enjoys spending quality time with family, decorating, crafting, swimming, and baseball games.
